This little girl is one very lucky little girl she has some wonderful parents and some awesome 4 legged big brothers. We had so much fun doing Callie’s newborn in home Lifestyle session. Clickin Walk 2017 ~ Tampa
About 3 weeks ago I traveled over to Tampa to meet up with some fellow Florida Photographers to do a photo walk. To be honest I almost didn’t go because I get into my head. I didn’t think I could hang with the pros. But I went and I am so glad that I did. I loved getting to meet fellow photographers and getting to chat with them. I would love to maybe someday get to shoot with them.
We walked around downtown Tampa taking pictures of Architect and people. I loved trying something new I haven’t taken pictures of just buildings before but I think they turned out pretty good. So enjoy just a small chunk of what I ended up with!
Mommy and Me
Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all to beautiful Moms out there. I know I am a bit late but this past week was a crazy week. So now that it has calmed down I thought I would get on here and blog about a special Mommy and Me session!
So my family moved to the St. Cloud a little over a year ago. We moved clear across the country for California. Meeting new families is always hard but the kids and I decided to head to a play-date set up through a local mom group in town. We were running late that day and so we got there as everyone was leaving but Maria and her daughter Addy decided to stay and play with us. We became fast friends and never looked back.
I am so glad that I was able to do a mommy and me session with her. Her daughter Addy is just the sweetest and her son Lucas well he is just so chill and relaxed I wish my son was more like that haha. We headed down to the lake front in town to get some pictures in front of the water because she wanted to update her wall in her house and it was water/ocean themed. We had a blast and I can’t wait to do more pictures with this family!
Julie’s Easter Mini
If you ask my daughter who her best friend is she has about 3 dozen but usually up in the top 5 after myself of course is Julie. We always have so much fun with this girl and she has a lot of energy. Her mama has her work cut out for her. Anytime we try to do pictures of Julie it is a you never know what you are going to get well this time we changed things up and had Julie be Julie. We tried for 2 minutes to not get a cheesy smile that didn’t work so Julie and I had fun and I let her just be silly. It worked we manage to get some fun pictures of her done and to her moms surprise we were able to catch that genuine Julie smile with out the word cheese coming out of her mouth. We told jokes, we thought there was a monkey on my head, and her mama even changed the words to one of her favorite songs.
While we were doing Easter mini’s we decided to throw a couple of mommy and me in the mix too. I am so glad that we were able to get her mama in the pictures because Julie is so her mini me and plus it was just a blast!
Clara’s Easter Mini
Clara oh Clara how pretty she is. This girl is so photogenic I love it. She doesn’t even have to smile she still is just such a pretty little girl. Clara is my neighbor and is just such a joy to be around. My kid faces light up every time she is out and I see a little bit of joy in her eyes too when they come out to play. Really I think it is just the want to get down and run around with them because she might be just as crazy as they are.
I was so excited when her mama asked if we could do some Easter pictures she was the perfect little model (Sorry Taylor and Kyle you may have been replaced) in all seriousness though she a very pretty little girl and I have a feeling when she gets older she is going to be a heart breaker and her daddy might have to answer the door with his shot-gun in hand. Those boys are going to come a calling.
Her mama was looking pretty as usual so we made sure to grab some quick mommy and me shots because as us mammas know we spend way more time behind the camera then we do in front of the camera. Miss Clara I can’t wait to photograph you again!
Burish Family Mini
Katie contacted me and asked about pictures of her boys for her husbands desk at work. She is a mom of 4 but her 2 girls played T-ball so she was good on pictures of them. I thought yes this will be so fun. Her boys Eric (1) and Adam (2) are just the sweetest. Adam is kind of shy or maybe it is just around me. So we decided to do them in Harmony because we were both going to be there for a birthday party. I love Harmony it is very pretty and definitely no bad spots to take pictures. We found a big shade tree near the playground this way the girls could still play but we would have dad close by if we decided to throw him in a few pictures.
The boys were perfect we got some pretty cute and candid moments. Adam loved pointing out the planes as they flew over and Eric well he was good to just sit and smile until well he was done. We decided last minute to put the girls into the mix, they had just come from Church so they were looking cute, and then well why not we decided to try for a family one. We were able to get a good one before Eric decided to make a get away. This family is so cute and I envy the way they have it all together or at least make it seem like they have it all together because I always feel like I look like a crazy person and I only have 2. So way to go Katie and Brent you guys are doing an awesome job!!!
Katie: 2018 Senior
It is hard to believe that miss Katie is going to be a senior next year. Wasn’t this family picture just taken yesterday?
Katie and her family have a special place in my heart as they are family. Katie’s mom is my dad’s sister. I joke with them that they waited to have kids till we got through all the stages of childhood so they could see what to do and what not to do. Katie was born as I was going into my Junior year of high school so she is a lot younger than me. I find this cool because I have got better memory of her growing up then I probably would have had, if she was my age. She is the sweetest girl and no matter what her parents say 😉 she is growing up to be the best young adult I know.
Katie will be a senior at Plainwell HS next fall where she is section leader of the trumpets for the marching band.
Katie plans to attend college after graduation and study Nero Science (told you she is super smart) though she is not sure where yet. She is currently looking at all schools including the dreaded Michigan University (not sure what she is thinking there lol) I am sure her parents are hoping she will become a Michigan State Alumni Go Spartans! Though we know they will be happy with where ever she decides to go!
Katie happened to be in Florida for a spring break trip to march at Disney and do some other fun things. Her family also traveled down to Fort Lauderdale By – the – Sea which has a special place in our heart. So we decided to go ahead and do her senior session while I had her here and she loves the beach and water. She scuba dives with her family so what better place to catch her in her element then at the beach. We had fun and were able to catch the sunrise. I hope that she had as much fun laughing and joking as I did.
Happy Birthday Steven
I am a little behind but lets just get right too it! It is hard to believe that Steven turned 1 on the 28th of March. He had a monster themed Birthday party so we have tried to keep a constant theme in all of his sessions Monsters! (Thank you PaperPuff Design for the awesome banner and his beautiful Cake Topper!)
We have had so much fun over the last couple of months.
Steven was having so fun with his 1st birthday session up until the cake. He just wasn’t that into it but come to find out he just didn’t have the appropriate utensils for eating the cake, he needed some chips. He looked so handsome in his little hat and his daddy’s tie. I met this little boy when he was a little over 2 months but I have had fun seeing his personality come out every time we got together with his mama and big sister Nora. Happy Birthday little man I hope year number 2 is as awesome as year number 1!
The Wait for Baby E: Sunrise Beach Maternity
Let me start off by saying everything about this session was perfect, the locations were perfect, the sunrise was perfect, and more importantly the mama-to-be was perfect and glowing. This is the first non four legged baby for Amanda and Brett and they are so excited. I have known Amanda since she was in grade school. She graduated in my little brothers class we attended the same church and participated in the same youth group. She did Drama with my sister was a cheerleader and an all around fun person which she most definitely still is. She found herself the perfect match in her husband as he seems just as fun loving as Amanda.
I took my tiny little assistant and traveled up to Jacksonville while my boys had a boys day. I was very much looking forward to doing a sunrise session as they are my favorite to watch and sometimes it is so hard to get up early enough to see them. I don’t feel like it took much convincing to get Amanda and Brett onboard with the idea. We went to 2 different beaches Little Talbot and Big Talbot, one which was perfect for catching the sunrise. The other had some pretty awesome drift wood, I wish that Big Talbot beach was closer to Orlando because I would highly suggest it for many different sessions. Amanda and Brett brought along their four legged children Gizmo and Montie and be braved the chilly morning for what turned out to be one of my favorite sessions so far. Amanda was 33 weeks pregnant, with the cutest baby bump. She is definitely all baby. I can not wait to see pictures and hopefully get to meet their sweet little girl after she makes her presence known (is it May yet 😉 ). I can tell she is one very loved little girl already!
I had trouble narrowing down the pictures I wanted to spotlight so I did a lot Enjoy!!!!
Talia Turns 9 Months
It is hard to believe in just a few short days this pretty girl will be turning 9 months. Time needs to slow down. I have been photographing her family since right before she was born and I have loved watching her grow up so far. Talia was having a rough morning the day we did her milestone pictures but we were able to get some good pictures out of her. The way to this girls heart like anyone is through her stomach so if the cookie is what she wanted the cookie is what she got. Normally anytime we are together this girl is full of smiles so I knew she wasn’t feeling great when none of my usual tricks were working.
It was so great to be able to capture her big brother in a couple of the pictures because you can tell she adores him and just wants to play all the time with him. It was also cool to get pictures of Talia with her mommy’s god mother who was in town for a visit. She is definitely one very loved little girl!
