Lui Family Mini Holiday

Had so much with the Lui family at a lake near their home.  There were lots of trees and open space and a beautiful lake to use as a backdrops for their holiday mini session.  I always have so much fun with the Lui family especially their little boy Kaiden because you never know what you are going to get.  He is such a fun-loving little and his little sister Talia knows that she has him wrapped around her little finger.  She loves to watch whatever it is that he is doing which sometimes made it had to get a good shot of her facing the camera.

The Lui’s are a Hensel Phelps family, I like to consider them family.  When you move around as much as we do sometimes it is hard to make friends outside of the HP circle.  It doesn’t mean it can’t happen I have managed to make some wonderful friends everywhere we have moved but these guys really know what we are going through and sometimes like us we have lived in the same city multiple times so whenever we have to say bye to an HP family it is never bye it is always see you later because you never know when your paths are going to cross again and the Lui family is one that I am glad our paths crossed again and I hope that they continue to keep crossing.  Thank you Lui family for entertaining me for a half hour and for being such wonderful friends!

Talia Baby’s First Year 4 months

Oh goodness Miss Talia is 4 months old it is just hard to believe.  I was photographing this girl before she was born.  She will be my first and only baby so far that I will get to photograph from maternity to 1 year that is as long as her family stays in Central Florida I know I am doing my best to keep them here because they have a special place in my heart.  This family has been around the world and back and I love that we are in the same area once again.

Miss Talia was the perfect little girl for pictures.  I love when I can get a good smile out of her though she usually only gives me those when I don’t have the camera around go figure right.  We got to do the caterpillar again this shoot and we will somehow use it in her next 2 sessions also as this little guy has special meaning.  He traveled all the way from Israel where her family lived for the last couple of years.  I can’t wait to continue to watch her grow and get snuggle time in where I can get them!!

Erbrick Family Mini Session

How fun was this family.  They are part of the Hensel Phelps family which is the company my husband works for.   When you work for Hensel Phelps you tend to move around a lot so it is always nice to connect with another HP family because they know what it is like to get up and move your family a lot.  Once you meet an HP family you know that you will always know them because even if you move away there is always a chance that you will meet up again on a different project in a different city and maybe even a different State.  The Erbricks have lived in Florida for a while now so it was nice to chat and find out things about the weather and life in general here.

The Erbrick’s are such a sweet family and the girls are a blast so ready to be in front of the camera and loved to act goofy!  We decided to take advantage of something that there is plenty of in Florida and that is beaches.  Luckily we didn’t have to drive all the way out to the ocean we were able to meet at the Lake Front in St. Cloud and it worked great as a perfect back drop for this family.  I hope they loved their session as much as I did and I can’t wait to getting to know this family better in the future!  Thank you Erbrick family for having fun with me!

Santoni Mini Session

So to start off the Holiday mini sessions is the Santoni Family.  I love getting to meet new families especially being new to the area myself.  This family was the sweetest and the girl were great.  Alexis and Gianna are super close in age and though they say they aren’t best friends yet I bet they will become best friends the older they get.

We took their session to Lake Runnymede Conservation area.  I love this place it is small has a couple of walking trails and a lot of trees.  The only things else I could have asked for were the leaves to change color but I know if Florida that is a lot to ask.  It was at least feeling a little fall like outside.  The family was great going with some of my different ideas for them.  I hope that they have a very wonderful holiday season.

Above and Beyond Equestrian Barn Show

So I know it has been a little bit since the last time I have blogged and over the next week or so I will be blogging a lot as I catch up on all the Holiday Sessions I have been doing.  This has been a busy fall for me and part of that was a Barn Show I was asked if I would be the photographer for.  The owner of Above and Beyond Equestrian asked if I would want to be the photographer for her barn show and I said yes.  Now after I said yes I began to get very nervous and kept second guessing myself on whether or not I really should have said yes.  I mean I had never done a horse show before and I know everyone has to start somewhere and I didn’t want to screw it up for her.  After much back and forth with myself and my friend Amber’s encouragement I decided this was going to be great.

Let me tell you I had such a blast!!  It was kind of right up there with what I love to capture.  Being a video journalist I love capturing the action as it happens which is probably why I loved getting to shoot Friday Night football so much.  Here are a couple of collages of pictures taken from the horse show!  Thank you again Stacy Glazeski for having me out to your barn I can’t wait to work with you and your riders again!

Steven Turns 6 Months

I am beyond excited that Baby Steven’s momma Linda has asked me to do Steven’s pictures through the next couple of months as he heads towards that 1 year mark.  I first met Steven when he was just a month old after moving to Florida.  His momma is just one of the sweetest and I am so glad that we were able to meet up through a playgroup in St. Cloud.

Steven turned 6 months old at the end of September and I couldn’t wait to photograph him.  He is almost sitting up with a little assistance but is definitely not staying still.  He was a roller going all over the place but it made it excited, and I bet by his 9 month session he is going to make me get some exercise in chasing him around.  I can’t wait to continue to watch this little boy grow!

Here is a quick picture of when he was almost 3 months oh and his family did a 4th of July mini session with me.  Oh my how he has changed in just 3 short months!Sherer Family 9

Here are the pictures from his 6 month Session!  Thank you to Nicole Schunk with PaperPuff Design for the cute monster banner, she made them in a couple of different colors so if you have a monster theme for your kids I have more to use!!  You can find her shop on Esty  PaperPuff Design!!

Meet Your Photographer

oak-island-10

Hi everyone my name is Jennifer.  I know what you all are thinking, there already is a place for you to learn about me, but I wanted to just write a blog that kind of told you more.

So lets start at the very beginning… its a very good place to start.  Ok I know you are all breaking out in song just like me right…ok maybe not.  Anyways like I said my name is Jennifer Rupprecht I was  born and raised a Hoosier lived there for 24 years of my life.  Though you might find it interesting to know I am not and IU fan.  I am a Michigan State Spartans fan.  Long story short I have family that live in Michigan and they are Michigan State fans and have drilled into me from a young age all things Spartan!  I have a degree from Indiana State University in Radio/TV/Film and I worked 10 years in the news business.  I did everything from running the telepromptor, graphics, studio camera, and editing, but I would have to say my favorite job was as a photographer/multimedia journalist.  I met my now husband back in 2005 at Indiana State, most of our dating life was long distance.  He finished school a semester before me and moved to Oklahoma.  We were together 4 years before he finally proposed to me and then it was another year before we got married.  So basically we had been together 5 years before we ever said I DO.  Fast forward almost 3 years we were living in Arizona and both well into our careers him in Construction me in News when we had our oldest child Taylor who is now 3.  We decided it was best that I become a stay at home mom which I love because I was able to be there for all the big milestones.  9 months into her life we picked up and moved to Northern California where a year later we welcomed our youngest child Kyle who is almost 18 months.  Now with these kids came a lot of pictures I mean a lot.  (Maybe I share too much who knows who cares)  Well for Christmas my husband got me a brand new Sony A6000 mirrorless DSLR and I was so excited because it meant that maybe I could still continue my career of telling stories.  I loved getting to go interview people and learning about them and then hopefully do their story justice.  We currently reside in Saint Cloud Florida where I am working on getting my business off the ground.

I have found out through trial and error that my nitch in this little photography  business is lifestyle because I am doing exactly what I did when I worked in my career I was telling someone’s story.  Do you ever look at a picture and wonder what someone is thinking.  You know the saying a picture can say a 1000 words, well that is exactly what I am going for in my sessions.  Some might think well I still want that Portrait photography, great we can take a couple of shots where everyone is looking at the camera, but then we can get some candid of your family doing whatever it is that you love doing!

I hope that this post helped you to maybe get to know me a little better and I can’t wait capture a day in your life whether it be Maternity, Newborn, Baby, Children, or your family.  I am excited to start telling your story!

Sincerely,

Jennifer!!!

“Lifestyle Session” The Rupprecht’s Take on the Beach

So my family just got back from a relaxing much needed vacation.  We traveled to Oak Island North Carolina to spend a week on the Beach.  My in-laws rented a home right on the beach which the kids loved because they could basically go down to the beach when ever they wanted!  They spent a lot of time splashing in the waves and building sand castles while mom and dad spent time relaxing and taking in the sun and calming sounds of the waves hitting the beach.

I tried to spend more of our time enjoying the company and didn’t get to capture as many pictures as I would have liked, but I did make it a point to take the camera down a couple of times to capture how much fun the two kids had.

I have decided that I love the lifestyle in photography, capturing the moments when a family or person is having so much fun.  The smiles you get from this type of session are so genuine and less fake looking.  I did capture a couple of group shots because well lets face it those are the ones that you are going to want for your Christmas card!  But my favorite are of the kids and the adults having a great time.  No one wanted to leave the beach and even though we live near the beach it is just not the same as waking up to the sights and sounds of the ocean right outside your window.

Senior session

So let me first start off by stating that Morgan is not a senior but she once was almost 3 years ago which is hard for me to believe.  But I asked Morgan if she would model a senior portrait session for me and she happily said yes.

Morgan and I grew up together well sorta with about 13 years difference in age.  Morgan was and well she still is sort of my neighbor.  She and her parents live across the way from my parents.  When Morgan was born my sister and I got the opportunity to hang out with her a lot as a baby while her parents did work out in their yard.  It was always so much fun and well for me it is just hard to believe that this beautiful young girl is growing up and will be entering her Junior year at Hanover College.  I still remember her as this little girl that grew up across the way from me and who I got to play with when she was a baby.

Morgan to the long drive over to my parents house. (ok maybe it was more of a short trot!)  My parents have a great yard they are located in what I like to call a small forest in the middle of the country.  They have a lot of trees, a pond, and a small open area in the very back.   All which made for a beautiful backdrop all though you don’t really need a beautiful backdrop for Morgan as she is beautiful inside and out she can make any background look good.  Thank you again Morgan!!!!
