Nothing warms my heart more than when I get a family that returns the following year for new pictures. This year we went to Lake Runnymede and even though one was not feeling well we did not let that get us down.

The Hays Family
I had so much fun with the Hay’s family. They were my very last family in Florida. Madison is just the cutest and reminds me of my own daughter spunky. And Austin is seems a bit shy but full of a lot of energy. We had such a great time at Lake Runnymede Conservation area. That had to be by far my favorite place to shoot in Florida. I love the moss hanging from the trees!
Julie’s Christmas Mini
Julie’s mama asked if I could capture just one picture for her Christmas Cards. The problem is we had a few for her to pick from and by a few I mean like 15 (I like to make this difficult for her mama I mean what are friends for). I have taken pictures of Julie a few times over the year and a half I have known her and her mama and I noticed that as she has warmed up to me the pictures have gotten easier. Julie is a mover and she is quick but I love showing her mom that it is OK we can still capture some awesome photos.
Riley’s 4th of July Mini
Riley’s mom and I had been talking for a bit about whether I was going to do a 4th of July themed mini session and even though I decided against doing them I told her lets meet up and do some of Riley because lets face it that girl is such a cute and I was happy to have her in front of the camera. Her brother Brody also came along and well we couldn’t miss out on getting him in front of the camera and luckily he was a very willing participant. Thank you Ashley for bringing them over we had fun!!!
Talia Turns 1!!!
Talia’s family and I have been on a journey for the last year plus. Rosy so kindly trusted me to use her and her family as my very first Maternity session, then we moved on to a newborn session, and continued with a Baby’s First Year bundle. So Talia and I have been having fun and growing together. This family is truly special to us we have really gotten to know each other over the 4 years when we first met in Arizona. Our husbands work for the same company and though they have only worked on one project together it has been nice being in the same area a few times. It is hard to believe baby Talia is 1 already this past year has gone by way to fast. I love that we incorporated this Caterpillar into every one of her baby pictures.
Thank you Rosy for letting me capture her first year of life it has been so much fun and I can’t wait to continue to watch her grow!!
Mommy and Me
Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all to beautiful Moms out there. I know I am a bit late but this past week was a crazy week. So now that it has calmed down I thought I would get on here and blog about a special Mommy and Me session!
So my family moved to the St. Cloud a little over a year ago. We moved clear across the country for California. Meeting new families is always hard but the kids and I decided to head to a play-date set up through a local mom group in town. We were running late that day and so we got there as everyone was leaving but Maria and her daughter Addy decided to stay and play with us. We became fast friends and never looked back.
I am so glad that I was able to do a mommy and me session with her. Her daughter Addy is just the sweetest and her son Lucas well he is just so chill and relaxed I wish my son was more like that haha. We headed down to the lake front in town to get some pictures in front of the water because she wanted to update her wall in her house and it was water/ocean themed. We had a blast and I can’t wait to do more pictures with this family!
Julie’s Easter Mini
If you ask my daughter who her best friend is she has about 3 dozen but usually up in the top 5 after myself of course is Julie. We always have so much fun with this girl and she has a lot of energy. Her mama has her work cut out for her. Anytime we try to do pictures of Julie it is a you never know what you are going to get well this time we changed things up and had Julie be Julie. We tried for 2 minutes to not get a cheesy smile that didn’t work so Julie and I had fun and I let her just be silly. It worked we manage to get some fun pictures of her done and to her moms surprise we were able to catch that genuine Julie smile with out the word cheese coming out of her mouth. We told jokes, we thought there was a monkey on my head, and her mama even changed the words to one of her favorite songs.
While we were doing Easter mini’s we decided to throw a couple of mommy and me in the mix too. I am so glad that we were able to get her mama in the pictures because Julie is so her mini me and plus it was just a blast!
Talia Turns 9 Months
It is hard to believe in just a few short days this pretty girl will be turning 9 months. Time needs to slow down. I have been photographing her family since right before she was born and I have loved watching her grow up so far. Talia was having a rough morning the day we did her milestone pictures but we were able to get some good pictures out of her. The way to this girls heart like anyone is through her stomach so if the cookie is what she wanted the cookie is what she got. Normally anytime we are together this girl is full of smiles so I knew she wasn’t feeling great when none of my usual tricks were working.
It was so great to be able to capture her big brother in a couple of the pictures because you can tell she adores him and just wants to play all the time with him. It was also cool to get pictures of Talia with her mommy’s god mother who was in town for a visit. She is definitely one very loved little girl!
Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions
First off I want to start out by saying that you to the Mann Family, the Wright Family, and the Schunk Family for participating in my first mini session of the year! I had so much fun with this session from finding and coming up with cute ideas for the set up to the actual day and getting to hang out with these beautiful girls and boy (thank you Lucas)!!
The day ended up being a beautiful Florida day. A little windy at times but nothing we couldn’t work with. I had so much fun meeting Evelyn and her mom Lisa. Evelyn was a natural in front of the camera and we were able to just have so much fun. I love when I do sessions hearing the stories and learning a little bit about everyone I am photographing. Evelyn happens to be the youngest of 3 kids she has an older brother and sister and I can only imagine the fun they have together if they have half the fun we had together!!
Next up was the Wright kiddos, Addy and Lucas! These 2 are just the cutest Addy is 3 and Lucas is 8 months. I had such a blast with them Addy is such a sweet big sister and we were even able to get a smile out of Lucas. Back story on him and his smile he is always smiling all the time. When ever I see this boy he is always smiling well on Saturday he decided to play shy in front of the camera it took him a few minutes then we got the smiles out of him that we all know and love. Thank you Addy and Lucas for being such good sports in front of the camera I love watching you grow up!
And last but not least we have Julie! She is just to sweet she is also 3 and just loves to have fun. She would much rather being running around having a good time and playing with bubbles then standing or sitting in one spot which I love. She made me work and it was a fun type of work so thank you Julia. I also want to give a quick shout out to her mama Nicole who made the banners for my Mini Session! She runs PaperPuff Design and does a wonderful job I haven’t been disappointed yet. If you are looking for banners or cake toppers check her out!!
So Julie, Addy, and my daughter Taylor are also friends and so while they were all three together we were able to capture a couple of cute pictures of the girls!!
